The Opinion Game, from Jocelyn
“Along the lines of a long-term role-playing game, this is The Opinion Game. It requires a group of close friends (say, 4-6 players) and every player randomly draws one Opinion out of a hat (it doesn’t have to be a hat, but geez, why shouldn’t it be?). Each player will be nonchalant, even apathetic, about every other single topic or decision (no matter how great or how small a matter) that comes up for the ensuing days/months it takes to complete this game, but will lead their lives solely by their strict adherence to this one ruling Opinion (the chance of ruining said life is just one of those risks you have to assume). You’re out of the game when someone guesses your Opinion.
“Some random sample Opinions to get you started:
-“Man, it’s cold in here.”
-“Seatbelts are merely illusions of safety.”
-“Lutheranism is the one true faith.”
-“ZEPPELIN RULES!”
-“Green is my favorite color.”
-“Condoms are for suckas, baby.”
-“The USA is the greatest country on earth.”
-“Cuba is the greatest country on earth.”
-“This needs more salt.”
“Have fun!”
Thanks, Jocelyn!
