Sarcasm that changes the world

The main character in this movie, Jim, is sarcastic all of the time. He never says what he means;  everything he says is intentionally ludicrous and everyone adores his “wry sense of humor.”

But then a funny, magical thing happens. His sarcasm changes the world. Every time he lies jokingly, or says something absurd, the world changes to make his sarcasm a reality. It happens so consistently that he’s no longer able to joke anymore. Everything he says is simply the bland (albeit new) truth. He’s considered a bore at parties, and now he has to live in the hell of a world of his sarcastic imagining.

When the world goes back to normal at the end, he’s learned a valuable lesson: it pays to be sincere some of the time. Not sure how he learns that, since everyone thinks it’s bland when he’s sincere, so you’d have to work that out.
