An intricate, impossible method to cause a car crash

A good way to cause a car wreck would be to replace someone’s rear view and side view mirrors with video monitors that show the same route being traveled, except on another, less traffic-ridden day. The driver would check all the “mirrors,” think it was clear to switch lanes, and then would collide into another car.

However, this would only work with a driver who has the exact same driving routine every day, stopping at the same stop lights and changing lanes around the exact same moment every day. You would have to study this routine and then record the road behind you as you drive it yoruself, and then shape this footage to fit onto screens the size of car mirrors.

Then you would have to break into this person’s car, install the monitors and hook them up to the battery so they turn on the moment the car goes on. After doing all that, it would be a crying shame if the driver looked in the “mirrors” before turning on the car and saw a blank screen, or even noticed the flicker as the video powered on. It wouldn’t be easy.

But if you pulled it off, what a triumph!
