Sixty Story Skyscraper With One Floor

It would be a skyscraper, but instead of having sixty floors, it would have a ground floor and a breath-takingly high ceiling.

Financially it would be a complete disaster if you tried to rent it out as a single apartment. Though people are willing to pay a premium for high ceilings, you wouldn’t be able to charge one person as much for a skyscraper with a high ceiling as if you had hundreds of tenants with lower ceilings.

But if you turned it into a museum with art going up the walls all the way to the top - with the paintings getting bigger the higher up they got - and a mural painted on the ceiling, it could eventually make its money back.

You could even have a glass elevator in the the middle of the building that slowly takes people up and down, in case it’s not enough to see all the paintings from the ground.
