The Gay Lesbian

Here’s a character for a sketch comedy show: The Gay Lesbian.

It would be a lesbian with the personality of a fabulously flamboyant gay man. She’s attracted to women, just like any lesbian, but she has an exaggerated “gay lisp” (not that I believe such a thing exists), a humorous over-the-top bitchiness (always calling people out on their B.S. with a scathing yet hilarious rebuke), knows a lot about fashion, is a professional hairdresser, and has just about every other gay male stereotype you can think of.

She exhibits none of the lesbian stereotypes, except for short hair and a girlfriend. Maybe some camo in the back of the closet, but that was a gift.

I’m surprised I have never seen a lesbian portrayed this way. It seems like an obvious joke.
