Retirees Who Couldn’t Take It Anymore
From my dad:
5 years agoWe had dinner at the Bernie’s last night. The 90 year old Bernie was talking about how tolerant he was but sometimes rudeness is too much. Years ago when he lived in Florida, he and a couple of other retired men - all WW2 veterans - used to sit in folding chairs by the side of the intercostal waterway. This is a canal that connects inland parts of Florida to the ocean. One week, some young people made a habit of cruising past the old folks and mooning them. It was two different boats, one after the other. After 3 days of this, the old soldiers had seen enough. The next day, they each brought an air rifle with them. Bernie would aim for the right cheek and his friend the left. They were quite successful, each scoring a hit on each mooner. Bernie said: “I could have put it up his crack if I wanted to, but I figured if he got one shot in each cheek, he’d get the message.”
They were never mooned again.
